Whether you are looking to eliminate stubborn fat, tighten loose/sagging skin, or reduce cellulite, Sona has the very latest body contouring technologies that offer proven, noticeable results for our clients.

But what exactly is "body contouring"? Body contouring treatments at Sona use the latest FDA-approved technologies to  non-invasively:

  • Reduce stubborn fat
  • Tighten loose skin
  • Smooth the visible appearance of cellulite

At Sona, we utilize CoolSculpting® for fat reduction and Venus Legacy™ for skin tightening and cellulite reduction. Both treatment types are non-surgical, non-invasive, and require little to no downtime but use distinctly different methods to get results.

Venus Legacy

Sona uses Venus Legacy for two specific body contouring purposes-tightening loose and sagging skin (common in the aging process, after weight loss or childbirth) and for reducing cellulite (caused by underlying fat deposits that give the skin a dimpled or lumpy appearance).  Venus Legacy is cutting-edge technology that utilizes multi-polar radio frequency and pulsed magnetic fields which causes a thermal reaction in the tissue that stimulates the body's natural healing response.  This results in a reduction of cellulite and noticeable tightening of the skin. The treated area can immediately look smoother and firmer. Most areas of the body can be treated, including the face and neck.

What is PCOS?

PCOS.pngMen aren't the only ones that can grow a beard or mustache. Did you know women can too? It's called Polycystic Ovary Syndrome

What is PCOS?

PCOS is a common disorder that takes place when a woman's hormones are out of balance due to insulin producing cells being over responsive and creating too much insulin causing hyperinsulinemia. This increase in insulin causes the ovaries to produce too much testosterone. 1 in 10 American women of childbearing age are affected by PCOS, making it by far the most common hormonal imbalance in women of this age group. Symptoms of PCOS include: infertility, weight gain, acne, and abnormal hair growth.

Because of an excess of male hormones, women with PCOS can experience unwanted hair growth on the face, chin, and neck. So women have facial hair too! Nothing makes a woman feel more unfeminine than thick, black hair sprouting in unsightly places. And that's why many women with PCOS come to Sona MedSpa

How do women with PCOS manage hair growth?

Shaving, waxing, and plucking is a daily routine to those with this disorder. And laser hair removal has been a saving grace to some. The ability to receive laser hair removal every 6-8 weeks allows women with PCOS to stop the daily routine of shaving and enjoy less time in the bathroom and more time of doing things they want to do!

"Personally, my hair growth got worse and worse over about 15 years before I started treatment with Sona MedSpa. My hair growth is mostly contained to my chin and neck, and laser hair removal treatments have made it all but disappear. This means no more daily tweezing and shaving!"

- Whitney Thore, Sona Client and star of My Big Fat Fabulous Life on TLC  Instagram: @whitneywaythore

For those with PCOS, depending on how thick and full the hair grows, it is likely that more laser hair removal treatments may be necessary to reach optimal results. And at Sona MedSpa, our Sona Promise allows our clients to continue additional laser hair removal treatments if necessary at a very deep discount, making laser hair removal affordable for everyone. If you or someone you know has PCOS, contact Sona MedSpa. It's time to get rid of embarrassing unwanted hair and gain back time in your day!
